How Gleam Got Started — A Note from Ashley Martin

It all started with Christmas lights.

Ever since I was little, I’ve been captivated by the magic of holiday lighting. There was something so powerful about the way a beautifully lit home could stop people in their tracks — how a few strings of lights could bring an entire neighborhood to life, spark emotion, and create memories. That joy stuck with me.

Years later, after countless hours of climbing ladders to hang lights for friends and family (and probably going a bit overboard on our own house!), my husband and I realized — this wasn’t just a seasonal passion. It was a calling. We loved bringing light, warmth, and joy to people’s homes. And not just during the holidays.

So we started Gleam — a company rooted in that same spirit of connection and creativity, but expanded into something bigger. Today, we offer full-service outdoor lighting design, holiday installations, and now, residential and commercial electrical services.

We’re still a family-owned and operated business, and we treat our clients like neighbors — because many of them are. Whether we’re installing elegant patio lights, upgrading outdated systems, or wiring a brand-new home, our goal is the same: help people feel proud of their space, safe in their home, and inspired by the environment we help create.
